Something different...

I thought it was time to try something new and different for me. I have had my Stampin' Pastels for nearly two years and never really worked out how best to use them so I thought it was time to dust them off and be productive. Thanks to some help from my upline and our group of awesome GFS (Gail Force Stampers), I came up with this little creation. I have decided that I will use these as my swap coming up through SOS that I dobbed myself in for. Still........ I look forward to getting the lovely creations back from everyone else. Better get them in the post shall we. Now........... just to come up with something for my convention swaps. How on earth will I make several hundred!!!!!!! OMG :) Bring on the new catalogue I say.

Time to say goodbye..........

Well the time has come to say goodbye to some favourite sets and papers and those gorgeous In Colours to make room for a lovely new Idea Book and Catalogue. It will be full of awesome new stamps, papers, inks, embellishments and punches but to make room for these we need to retire some old stock. This is a great opportunity to get some sets at discounted prices but remember they are only available until sold out and items are going fast. From the 1st April they will no longer be availalbe. The list was only released on the 1st March and many items are already disappearing. Some sets are 25% off and some are 50% off. And dont forget the Bushfire appeal sets sales are still going to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, and so far Stampin' Up! has donated nearly $60,000 to the Appeal. If you would like to purchase any of these sets or anything else from the Catalogue or the current Mini Catalgue, dont delay, get in contact with me TODAY to place your order and I will give you a copy of the new Catalogue with every order over $100 when it becomes available.

Let's do our bit.........
Here is a great way to help those affected by the terrible bushfires that have destroyed many parts of the state. Together with Stampin' Up! you can help by purchasing any of these specially selected sets which will soon be retired. So if you have always wanted one or more of these sets, now is your last chance to grab them before they sell out. Stampin' Up! is donating 50% of all the sales to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfires 2009 Appeal. You can also make use of the current SAB promotion where you qualify for a free set for every $100 spent but be quick as this ends on February 28. Simply give me a call on 0414 400 841 or email felic77@hotmail.com to place your order and I can have it delivered straight to your door. Happy Stamping :)Wednesday, February 11, 2009
I had a crack at faux tiling

Probably not my best work but hey I wanted to give it a go. I really love this set and am always trying to find new ways to use it. I stamped this on gloss card after pre scoring the grid, then I sponged the leaves and flowers. Another way to use the colours that inspired this card.
I put this together for a swap within our group. I can't wait to see what the other girls have done...stay tuned.

Here are the photos that inspired this card, it's a bit hard to tell from these but Sage Shadow and Bravo Burgundy was all I saw when I walked in the room - MY GOD! am I a total Stampin' Up! freak or what LOL

Another Card Holder (this time for MY Mum's Birthday)

This is the second Note Card Holder I have made, this time with different colours and Stamps. Now let me point out that these are NOT the suggested colours to match the Bali Breeze DSP .....BUT.... I think that River Rock and Blue Bayou go really well with this particular pattern and I wanna make the most of these colours while they are still available.

Valentine's Day is on its way.....

I think I might make this at my next workshop on the weekend. The new Bali Breeze DSP goes well too I think.
I had fun working out the right dimensions to get the scallop square using the scallop edge punch for the bottom one. Gotta love Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink together. In case you haven't noticed.....I love pink. My workroom even has a pink feature wall...sad I know..... :)

Stationery Box (back to school time)
I got this awesome idea from Becky Roberts - thanks so much. I wasnt able to do either of the themes that you did due to the fact that I dont have a lot of those things yet (fingers crossed we will get the BIG SHOT in April) no cupcakes or top note dies so I had to improvise shall we say... and I came up with this idea, since everyone is mad getting ready for school, all the back to school signs are everywhere and since I am a teacher, well its kinda on my mind too. No stamping but some ribbon (very important), some pu
nches and some Certainly Celery DSP.
Here is a list of the contents;
- Stapler & staples
- Pen & Pencil
- Rubber and Correction tape
- Ruler
- Gluestick (in the clear box)
- Post-It notes
- Scissors
I was actually surprised at how much I was able to fit in it in the end. I had fun shopping for the contents, was really hard trying to find only Certainly Celery and Brocade Blue :)

Stupid me decided to do it on 35 degree day (for those of you in lands afar, thats 95!!!) Anyway, no excuse for not finding anything now and my productivity should go through the roof - LOL - NOT. Shame I have to go back to work this week :(

I'm in LOVE........(with Ruby Red)
I just love this colour, for some reason I have not really 'discovered' it until now - thanks to the gorgeous Ginger Blossom DSP I guess. Wanted to use the new SAB sets to show you some ways to use them and wanted to try a Joy Fold Card too. Am pretty happy with the outcome. Stay tuned......more coming soon.

Last project for weekend....
Ok this is the last project for the weekend, I'm stuffed - LOL. Thanks again to Danni for another great idea. I will have to get around to making the cards to go in it now.....
Note Card Holder
I needed an idea for my Mother-in-law's birthday present and I knew that she would appreciate a handmade gift so thanks to Danni I have this one. I have modifed it a little to cater for our size cards and envelopes but I am happy with the result. I just love the Afternoon Tea DSP and the Live Your Dream Stamp Set. I hope they bring these out in our new Catalogue this year..... If you are interested in replicating this one, I have the instructions modified for my measurements so feel free to email me and I can pass them onto you.

Scrapbook Page 'Australiana Theme'
I made this before Christmas but forgot to post it here. Its a scrapbook page I made for my friend Denise in Arizona. She is also a SU Demo. I went to visit her when I visited my Brother and his family last month. I wanted to make it an Australiana theme hence the 'All Aboriginal' stamp set. This photo was taken last year at the Craft Fair while I was demo'ing the 2,5,7,10 box.Friday, January 2, 2009

Circle Flip Book
Another great project idea, this time from Stacey. I had to put a little of my own into this one and used the stunning new Ginger Blossom DSP to create this book. Once again, now I just need to find the 'perfect' photos for it so stay tuned for that one aswell.......

Visit to Stampin' Up! HQ in Utah.
Well since I am in the USA visiting my brother and his family in Arizona this week I just had to take the extra journey to Utah to see the BEST place in the world! When I was boarding the plane yesterday morning, I did not think for one second that I would get the amazing opportunity to meet Shelli Gardner (CEO) but I was lucky enough to do just that. I had a wonderful time even if it was only short but well worth the trip. I had a fantastic tour thanks to the lovely girls in the office including Tracee, Janene and I met so many wonderful people (over 100) but I think they just all wanted to hear me talk with my Australian accent LOL :) Thanks to Lori for arranging it and thanks for my little gift, I just LUUUVV it!
